-
Are children allowed on kayaking tours?Yes, children are welcome on our tours. Children as young as 5 have kayaked solo. Children under 5 are recommended that they sit in the kayak with their parents or with your guide. We have 3 kayaks that are only 8 feet long and perfect for kids.

-
What is the maximum weight limit to kayak?300 lbs is the maximum capacity of our largest kayaks.
-
Can I bring my own kayak? You are welcome to bring your own kayak if you prefer. Please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your equipment. Sit on top kayaks are easier to get in and out of and sit a little higher in the water, which is handy on the river.
-
Can I bring my own life jacket?Absolutely! If you have a favorite life jacket that fits you perfectly, definitely bring it with you to use. We have life jackets in a full range of sizes for you too.
-
Do you offer private tours or group bookings?Yes, we love group bookings and can accommodate group bookings for special occasions or corporate events. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements and we'll help arrange a memorable experience on the water. Currently, we can accommodate groups as large as 13 people at a time. We have hosted larger groups who have split up and half have kayaked while the other half enjoyed our fire pit area and bush trails, and then we switched.
-
What is the minimum number of people for a kayak adventure?Usually 2 people is our minimum. If you are not part of a group and as an individual you would be willing to join another group, contact Wendy and she will be able to set it up at a time that works for you.
-
Is there parking available near the kayaking location?Yes, safe and secure parking for your vehicles is right in our farm yard. We exit the river just below where your vehicle will be parked, so you end up where your vehicle is parked.
-
Are there restroom facilities available during the tour?We have a washroom in our shop, and encourage everyone to use the washroom prior to starting your kayaking adventure. While we are on the water, if you need to go to the bathroom, we will find a spot on the river bank to let you "find a spot outside". The washroom in our shop is located close to where you exit the water after your kayak adventure.
-
What safety measures do you have in place?Safety is our top priority. Our guides are experienced in kayaking and water safety. We provide life jackets, first aid kits, and conduct safety briefings before each tour to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

How do I make a reservation?Reservations can be made directly through our website or by texting 204-648-4401 or on messenger to Crocus Hill Kayaking. We recommend booking in advance to secure your group's preferred date.

-
How bad are the bugs? When you are on the river, usually they aren't too bad. When you are walking in the tall grass to get in and out of the river they can be a bother, so we suggest you apply bug spray. Speaking of tall grass, you will want to do a check for wood ticks after we are done. If you step into the mud in the river, chances are you may also have to check yourself for leeches.
-
How do I pay?We accept cash on site. We accept e-transfers. You are able to pay by credit card on our website.
-
Can I purchase gift certificates?Sure thing! Contact Wendy and she with get you a physical certificate or e-certificates are available on our website.
